My future job

When people think about a psychologist, they imagine somebody like Freud, who is psychoanalyzing you meanwhile you’re speaking, lay down on a divan. So, if you study psychology, some people would think that you are analyzing them in every moment. Another prejudice, is that people who is study psychology are a good listener and that can give a good advice. This is a very common opinion, but psychology is more than that analyze people for tell them advices about problems how to revolve its. First of all, it refers at a clinical practice and Psychoanalysis that is one of many perspectives in psychology. Psychology has many branches of knowledge, mainly clinical, organizational, and legal and social/community. Besides that, each one could divide in different perspective and theories. There are Psychoanalysis, behaviorism, cognitivism, humanism, etc. In my personal case, I’m very interested about social/community psychology that its objective is to understand the subject/persons in relation with his society and social interactions. Psychologist who dedicate to this branch can do investigations mainly, but can do practical interventions in a community to improve its working to achieve different goals. I’m not sure about what I going to do when I finish my career, but I want to do this away of Santiago, in a smaller city or town to can live far of the big cities and constant ‘movement’.

“terrorist attempt”: bomb in the subway.

I knew about the bomb in the Monday’s evening. It was at midday, so I realize about that very late. I was in a friend’s home, when the news showed what happened. I was surprised of course of the wounded people, but besides because I didn’t think that it could happen; I think that Chilean people are very conservative, at least at our days. Honestly, I think that government is behind this entire situation. Why? Because it is advisable for the government. Maybe this sound like “V for vendetta”, but I think that “fear” is a good way for control people. In fact, is the best way. Government categorized this as a ‘Terrorist attempt’, but I believe that cops have means to identify these kinds of groups. For that reason I think that is very incredible that cops can’t identify the guilty with agility. Besides, more than promote calm and peace, the press spreads uncertainty (which generate fear at people). This in turn produces consumerism, which benefit to… yes, business men and politicians (I hate them). Fear, in my opinion is the unique resource that have the government have in this moment for maintain the society united, because It doesn’t have credibility and proofs to demonstrate that It is necessary. Government need staging to being valid and acceptable for people.

Mysteryland  2013

Strictly speaking, it is not a concert, but an electronic music festival. The difference with normal concert is the number of artists, here there are a lot, and the time of the concert; Mysteryland spent three full days. I'm not a big fan of electronic music, but two friends motivated me to go. The ticket was very expensive (approximately $ 65,000), but it was given as a birthday gift, so I could go without regretting. On December 19th , 2013 the first day of the festival, we travelled to Picarquín, where every year it is carried out, and we got there at noon. It was totally crowded, and it took some time to install the tend. It took 20 minutes to get to the Q-dance stage and 20 to get to the main stage (there were 5 different stages of different types of electronic music). These were very large and very colorful; really amazing. On the day, everything was a pool party and at night it was total madness, a lot of drinks, lights, costumes, drugs (not in my case, but it was openly visible), and of course, music and happiness. On the third day, the festival ended with fireworks and then I realized I was totally tired and haggard. I had a terrible hangover and I slept an entire day on the next day.
